Terms of Service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Unbound Academics website and tutor-matching services. Unbound Academics is a DBA of Sims Education Enterprises LLC ("Unbound Academics," "we," "us," or "our"), based in Houston, Texas. By submitting a consultation request, booking a session, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms.

Unbound Academics operates a tutor-matching service. We connect Houston-area families with independent tutors based on subject need, grade level, availability, and location. Tutors who work with Unbound Academics are independent contractors, not employees of Unbound Academics. We vet tutors through an application review, background check, and live teaching evaluation, but we do not guarantee any particular educational outcome.

Consultations are free and non-binding. Submitting a consultation request does not obligate you to book paid sessions. After a consultation, we'll recommend a tutor match; paid sessions begin only once you confirm.

Rates for individual sessions and multi-session packages are listed on our Pricing page and may be updated from time to time. Prepaid packages are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. You may cancel or reschedule any individual session up to 24 hours in advance at no charge; cancellations inside that window may be charged at the standard session rate.

Every tutor completes a background check and a live teaching evaluation before working with any student. That said, we cannot guarantee the conduct of any tutor, and parents/guardians remain responsible for supervising in-home and in-person sessions involving their student, particularly minors. If a match isn't working, tell us — we'll rematch you with a new tutor at no charge.

You agree to provide accurate information about your student's needs, to treat tutors and staff respectfully, and to use our website only for its intended purpose of finding and booking tutoring services.

Our website and services are provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding specific academic results, grade improvements, or test score outcomes from tutoring services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unbound Academics (Sims Education Enterprises LLC) is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.

We may update these Terms as our services evolve. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
